Direct Action & Grassroots Organizing
Denver Justice Project is deeply committed to confronting and dismantling the systems and institutions that have perpetuated discrimination against poor people and people of color, resulting in mass incarceration, poverty, mental health issues and collective trauma. DJP organizes rallies, press conferences, petition efforts, and social media campaigns to demand accountability from law enforcement and elected officials. We harness the collective power of community members, professionals, and activists to confront the systemic barriers that lead to the unequal distribution of resources and the disproportionate application of the law, resulting in over-policing and mass incarceration of communities of color.
