DJP has been working tirelessly to support Stephan Long and his family in demanding that District Attorney Beth McCann dismiss ALL charges against Stephan immediately. Self-defense is a right that should be afforded to Black men just as it is afforded to their white counterparts. The reality of the situation is, Stephan was attacked and that is why the first charge against him was dismissed, because it was a clear case of self-defense, as is the second charge, they are no different. Stephan was attacked twice and he was forced to defend himself twice.
Stephan will be back in court on November 30th at 8:00am and we will be there demanding justice for Stephan.
